The commenters over at Hot Air
don't like this film, assigning a plausible agenda to its creators.

However, this is what struck me:

And they are using their false promises of security to erode our privacy..."

Somehow nursing mothers, blue haired grannies, Congressional Medal of Honor winners and Ann Coulter are a threat to our National Security requiring further investigation, but young Moslem males cannot be questioned.

...and don't get me started on the "war on drugs"

ASPECTS of SALVATION

SPIRIT

Regeneration is the process spoken of in the previous post on Salvation: Being Born Again. At the moment of rebirth the Holy Spirit enters into the spirit of man and gives him eternal life, reversing the curse of death inherited from Adam. At that moment it is full and complete, there is nothing lacking for a person to be saved. The person born again is a new creation, now one with Christ in complete union for all eternity.

2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.


SOUL

Sanctification is the ongoing process of following the Holy Spirit's leading and applying the truths of God's word to one's inner and outer life and becoming more and more like Christ in heart, mind, attitudes and actions. This process takes place throughout life to greater or lesser degrees and is never wholly completed in this lifetime.

Romans 12:1,2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

2 Tim 3:16,17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

BODY

Glorification occurs when Christ returns and the dead in Christ are raised and those of us that remain are caught up in the air with Him and are there transformed into His likeness, a glorified spiritual body.

1Thess 4 :13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent [precede] them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Cor 15:42-58 So also is the resurrection of the dead. Corrected Diagram

While working on the diagram of the Aspects of Salvation I wrestled with the placement of JUSTIFICATION.
The standard on the Salvation process(es) is stated-
"Justification, Sanctification, Glorification."
While this is true, almost from the beginning of creating the diagram I realized that Justification was not an internal event. I eventually overcame my attachment to the phraseology that had become ingrained and moved to the rational application of the components.
Justification is indeed the crux of Salvation.
It will be addressed in the following posts.

Backup You Clown

Note to self-
When you think you might oughta back up several hundred files representing a couple years work you really should go ahead and do it.

And while you are at it make sure you have all the restore and recovery points set up for that nasty, rotten program you sold your soul to 15 years ago.

That way when W____ XP crashes and burns like you have always known that it will you don't spend a week hoping for any crumb you might dig out; and everyone telling you they do NOT have a clue.

But, happy day! we managed to rescue ourselves!!!
